The Power Hidden in a Tiny Seed By Ismael Burciaga
The crowds gathered as Jesus began to teach about the kingdom of heaven. Instead of grand illustrations, He chose something small, something familiar, something almost forgettable. He held before them the picture of a mustard seed. It was tiny in the palm of a hand, easy to overlook, and insignificant at first glance. Yet Jesus said this little seed held a secret about how God works.
He explained that when the seed is planted, it does not stay small. Though it begins as one of the smallest seeds, it grows into a large tree where birds find rest in its branches. What begins unnoticed becomes undeniable. What begins quietly becomes shelter for others. The kingdom of heaven moves in the same way. God takes what seems small and turns it into something meaningful, influential, and lasting.
The message was simple. Never underestimate what God can do with what looks small. A quiet prayer, a simple step of obedience, a generous act that feels insignificant. In His hands, the smallest seed can become a harvest that reaches far beyond the moment it was planted. Jesus invited His listeners to trust the God who turns small beginnings into great outcomes.
