Good Seed in a Crowded Field
"Let both grow together until the harvest."
Matthew 13:30
Opposition is often the clearest sign that something meaningful is growing. In Jesus’ parable, the wheat and the weeds share the same field, the same soil, and the same season. The presence of weeds does not mean the wheat failed. It means the harvest matters.
The enemy’s strategy is rarely destruction. More often, it is distraction. When criticism rises, accusations spread, or discouragement whispers, the real danger is losing focus on what God planted. The seed placed by God cannot be undone by sabotage. It can only be surrounded by noise meant to pull attention away from purpose.
Jesus made it clear that judgment is not the assignment of the servant. Sorting belongs to the Master. Attempting to pull weeds too early can damage the very growth God intends to protect. Discernment guides obedience, but judgment interferes with development.
Faith learns to live in the tension of mixed seasons. Joy and sorrow, progress and resistance, growth and discomfort often appear together. The call is not to fix the field, but to remain faithful in it. God finishes what He starts, and no attack can interrupt His timing.
Today's Focus
Do not mistake opposition for failure. Stay focused on the seed God planted and trust Him with the outcome.
Pray
Lord,
Thank You for planting good seed with intention and care. Help guard focus when distractions rise and criticism surrounds. Strengthen endurance to remain faithful in the field You assigned. Teach trust in Your timing and confidence in Your protection. Let what You planted grow to full harvest. Amen.
